Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is used to treat a range of psychological conditions, and is a leading energy therapy that could be viewed as an emotional version of acupuncture, without the invasiveness of needles. Initially developed and outlined by Stanford University’s Gary Craig in his book titled ‘EFT Handbook’ in the late 1990’s, EFT draws upon elements of Chinese medicine as well as modern psychology and psychiatry.
EFT can be learned or applied through the guidance of a qualified professional, who has been trained to strict standards, such as those imposed by AAMET. Having learned of the incredible benefits of EFT some years ago, I was eager to investigate the technique and since that time I have undergone internationally recognised training in its delivery.
How does EFT work?
It has been scientifically proven that there is a mind-body connection; this clearly indicates that emotional health underpins physical health. EFT harnesses positive energy to align and rebalance meridians, in turn rebalancing the mind and body, for current healing and future prevention.
Worry, anxiety and stress are unfortunately common in all of our lives, and the occurrence of some life events can manifest into major psychological and physical blockages. EFT can effectively assist in removing the negative emotions against past memories, eliminating limiting beliefs, eradicating fears and phobias, or ridding you of burdensome feelings of regret or concerns for the future.
As a certified member of AAMET, my clients can rest assured that I have extensive experience in applying EFT, and in teaching EFT programs.
